The eCommerce Project was created by ReplyManager co-founder and blog editor Jodi Gaines Pereira to explore the processes, successes (and pains) of marketplace and eCommerce selling, to share industry news, expert insights and conference write-ups, and provide reviews of relevant software solutions.
What’s the project?
As a solutions provider, product developer and marketer, Jodi has spent many years helping ePreneurs improve communications between marketplace buyers and sellers. She’s been in the software industry since 1999, but has always been incredibly impressed by the eCommerce spirit so many sellers exhibited. Since the sale of ReplyManager, Jodi wanted to spend time exploring what the next “adventure” might shape up to be, so she opted to become a seller herself and document the process along the way in the hopes of helping other sellers and to identify potential new products for future development.
“This is a project I’ve wanted to do for many years, so when the opportunity arose after the sale of ReplyManger to XSellco, it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” said Jodi Gaines Pereira. “Online sellers often start out small, selling items out of their homes on eBay and moving on to bigger and better opportunities like arbitrage, product sourcing and expansion into additional marketplaces. I’m putting myself in those shoes, but plan to elicit the help of many fantastic though leaders I’ve met on my journey with ReplyManager.”
Jodi Gaines Pereira is the co-founder of ReplyManager, a web-based tool designed to help online sellers manage their incoming customer communications. She served as CEO and blog editor until it’s sale to XSellco. She is also a founding partner of iguanafarmGroup, a product development and engineering company. Jodi is a frequent contributor to online publications such as Tamebay and WebRetailer and often speaks about customer experience and marketing within the eCommerce community and is an accomplished singer / songwriter.
